West Delhi is among the most important areas of New Delhi as it inhabits some of the most famous markets of the city. The West Delhi District is divided mainly into three sub divisions – Patel Nagar, Rajouri Garden and Punjabi Bagh. Major residential cum commercial areas are Tilak Nagar and Janakpuri. West Delhi has some very nice residential colonies like Punjabi Bagh, Paschim Vihar, Janakpuri and Vikaspuri and also has some very congested areas like Tilak Nagar, Narayana Ind Area and Uttam Nagar. The most famous airport of India, IGI Airport is also located at the outskirts of West Delhi.
